I see lines, curves, shades of grey, and repetition. My brushes are 40 year old mechanical cameras. My canvas is a photosensitive emulsion coated on a plastic substrate. Analog and digital imaging technologies extend the reach of regional fine art to an international audience.
I am fascinated by the engineering marvels that surround us. From the simple elegance of a neon sign to the power and awe of military hardware and railroad locomotives. There is much to see in shades of grey or splashes of saturated color.
The simplicity of photographic film is timeless. An image captured a century ago on a negative will yield a quality print today and long into the future. Years after electronic storage media have succumbed to the ravages of time and changing technologies, archival quality slides and negatives will yield a printable image.
